# \[Graphviz Visual Editor\] How to fit graph to window

Graphviz Visual Editor Q2: When I select “Fit graph to available area” I don’t see any effect on the graphic window. Is there something else I have to do as well?

No. What is the problem? Does the graph never fit to the available are or does it always fit regardless?

Try also the `1:1` button in the toolbar: ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/graphviz/original/1X/6476e2e0194affc11beb9f3cc2ef43ca75d8759b.png) and then toggle “Fit graph to available area” and you will probably notice a difference. The ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/graphviz/original/1X/910c5ad6d6b80a2e571419f18821d4a4d08b73e9.png) button has the same effect when the “Fit graph to available area” option is off.
