Hi all,

It is as the question states.

Is there any way to get node positions using Graphviz API only?

I know pygraphviz exists, but there are restrictions on my computer in installing certain dependencies for pygraphviz.

Thanks in advance.

A little confused by your question, you did not specify a language, so trying to cover all bases.

- Here you will find info about the library interfaces directly supported by Graphviz: [Library Usage | Graphviz](https://graphviz.org/docs/library/)
- This page includes interfaces supplied by others [External Resources | Graphviz](https://graphviz.org/resources/) (look for “language bindings”)
- Finally, all the Graphviz programs provide text output in several formats (see [DOT | Graphviz](https://graphviz.org/docs/outputs/canon/) and [JSON | Graphviz](https://graphviz.org/docs/outputs/json/)) You can parse the **xdot** format with most any programming language or you can parse it with the Graphviz built-in program **gvpr** [https://www.graphviz.org/pdf/gvpr.1.pdf](https://www.graphviz.org/pdf/gvpr.1.pdf)

Hi,

I have resolved the issue successfully by using piping JSON using Python.

Thanks for the help.
